WELCOME TO FAMILY HOUSING MANAGEMENT COMPANY, INC.

Family Housing Management Company, Inc. is an independent, not-for-profit corporation that provides management services for North Florida’s affordable housing community. Under the leadership of Executive Director Alma C. Ballard and with the assistance of an experienced management team and the guidance of a talented board of directors, Family Housing Management Company continues to provide the highest quality of Senior living to our Residents.


History

The Diocese of St. Augustine formed Family Housing Management Company, Inc. in 1986, to manage and maintain properties within the Diocese.  The existing low-income HUD subsidized facilities for elderly and persons with intellectual and developmental differences & physical disabilities were already incorporated when the company was formed.  Family Housing also managed the Providence Center that housed the Diocesan ministries such as Catholic Charities and the Multi-Cultural Ministry from 1987 until December of 2019.  


Mission Statement

The mission of Family Housing Management Company, Inc. is to provide housing to the elderly and /or persons with intellectual and developmental differences and physical disabilities in meeting the physical, social, and psychological needs of everyone and to promote the health, security, happiness, and usefulness in longer living.

Our Team

Sharon Griffith
Associate Executive Director

In 1998, Sharon began her journey in the housing industry as an Administrative Assistant for Hurley Apartments bringing her passion for assisting others, vast experience, and leadership skills to the forefront.  Throughout her tenure she was recognized for her abilities and was promoted in 2001 to a supervisory role at Family Housing Management Company.  She quickly took on the responsibility of overseeing the compliance guidelines, occupancy review, audit reviews and the submission of the monthly HAP(Housing Assistant Payment) billing for Barry, Hurley and San Jose I and II.   Sharon’s role was later enhanced within the organization to Human Resources liaison facilitating all training and developmental requirements for all employees.  Throughout the various challenges of an ever-changing industry, Sharon finds her motivation in one of her favorite quote.
